Our History

 

1981 : Begin of the story

Jacques Lamothe, Jean-Claude Béziat, Michel Barrucand, Abel Caubarrus, Pomarez Francois, Michel Harispe, Christophe Lucas and Joel Tragnan create the "SCA Aquaculture Farmers in the Landes" as a cooperative. In 1981 we got our first processing unit for fresh trout in Roquefort on the site of a former factory for distillation of resin.

1986 : Creation of the first center for breeding and reproduction of trout in Pissos (Landes)

1988 : New unit for fresh fish processing built in Roquefort

1990 : Launch of the brand smoked trout Landvika at the SIAL in Paris

1991 : Creating Aqualande Ltd (AQUALANDE SA)

1992 : Aqualande diversified into marine farming with its first farm for sea bass, Extramer at Salses (Pyrenees Orientales)

1993: lauch of Trout Caviar, today worldwide recognized for its high quality

1994 : New processing unit devoted exclusively to smoked trout in Roquefort

1995 : Purchase of "Ferme Marine du Douhet", hatchery for sea bream on l'Ile d'Oleron

2003 :  Purchase of  "Poisson du Soleil", hatchery for sea bass in Sète

Launch of the range of smoked trout OVIVE, trout from the Pyrenees

2006 : Opening of a new plant of 4 300m ² dedicated exclusively to smoked trout

2007 : Launch of the first Label Rouge smoked trout

2009 : Launch of organic smoked trout BIO OVIVE

2012: Extension of the processing plant in Sarbazan

2013: purchase of 5 trout farms from Norway Seafoods

2016: Opening of fish feed factory AQUALIA
